Known as “Mile 0 City” and the “Capital of the Peace,” Dawson Creek is located at the southern end of the Alaskan Highway and serves as the seat of Northern British Columbia’s Peace River District.

Few people leave Dawson Creek without getting a photo in front of the famous “Mile 0 Post” in the centre of town, but a trip to its historic downtown area will take you through a set of equally essential attractions including the Dawson Creek Art Gallery, which displays the work of local artists and craftsmen. For a glimpse into the city’s rich past, make sure to stop at the Walter Wright Pioneer Village and the one of a kind Kiskatinaw Bridge.
